FOP: Indy Reneging On Promise To Raise Officers' Pay

The local Fraternal Order of Police said Friday that the city has indicated it won't give police officers a pay raise that the union says the city promised, 6News' Jack Rinehart reported.

The FOP said the city told the union's leaders Friday that the raise and retroactive pay for 2006 wouldn't be offered, Rinehart reported.

According to the FOP, the city told the union that the money for the raises went, in part, to buy more jail beds.
