Counselor Sentenced For Having Sex With Autistic Student

INDIANAPOLIS -- A former school counselor who pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual misconduct with an autistic boy was sentenced Wednesday to six years in prison with four years suspended.

Becci M. Hill, of Martinsville, was accused of having a sexual relationship with the 15-year-old, whom she had mentored at one point, according to authorities. She was a special-needs counselor with the Wayne Township school district in Indianapolis.

Hill was arrested in July after a police officer saw her and the teen engaging in sexual activity in a car on a rural road, according to the Marion County prosecutor's office. She was 31 at the time.

In addition to sentencing her to prison, a judge ordered Hill to serve three years of probation and register as a sex offender upon her release.
