A man charged with killing seven members of a family last year is being moved to the Wabash Correctional Facility after two incidents on Friday and Saturday.

Police said Desmond Turner, 28, attacked a jail officer on Saturday morning, breaking the man's nose.

"Mr. Turner attacked one of the officers, causing injuries to that officer's face and leg," said Indianapolis police Lt. Doug Scheffel.

Saturday's incident occurred the day after he tried to take a spit mask off and fight with guards as he was on his way to court, police said.

A Taser was used on Turner twice during Friday's incident, police said.

Police said Saturday's attack came after Turner hid in a shower.

The guard is expected to make a full recovery from the injuries.

Turner and James Stewart, 30, are charged in the slayings of seven members of one family, including three children, in June of 2006.

They are scheduled for trial on Aug. 6. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Turner.
