The family of an Indianapolis woman who disappeared one year ago made an appeal for help Thursday.

Video
Karen Jo Smith, 35, (pictured, left) was last seen with her ex-husband, Steve Halcomb, at her south side home on Dec. 27, 2000, and police have not made any arrests.

"We know that there's someone else out there who has more information to bring forward," Smith's father, Ed Bishop, said. "We're asking that person to look into your heart and ask yourself how you can continue knowing what you know and not come forward with the information. If you know, God knows."

Smith's family members told RTV6 that they believe that Halcomb knows more than he is saying.

Police haven't publicly identified a suspect. Halcomb refused to answer questions and denied any involvement.

Halcomb currently is incarcerated at the Pendleton Reformatory on parole violations.
