Police have arrested a man they said was involved in the death of a man found electrocuted in a Shelby County cornfield June 8.

Gary Olds, 52, is charged with manslaughter and attempted theft.

Police said David Hoagland, of Edinburgh, died while he and Olds attempted to steal copper wire.

A passerby found Hoagland's body along County Road 125 West, near State Road 252 earlier this month.

Olds was taken into custody Monday at a gas station in Bartholomew County. He is charged with manslaughter, attempted theft, criminal recklessness and obstruction of justice.
