Fight Over Embattled Superintendent Could Be Over
Dr. Doug Williams Embroiled In Dispute With School Board

INDIANAPOLIS -- There could be resolution to the ongoing controversy surrounding the Perry Township Schools superintendent.According to published reports, there is a tentative agreement for Dr. Doug Williams to leave his post.Williams has been on administrative leave since November, amid accusations of insubordination and neglect of duty.6News spoke with district spokesperson Karen Cantou Thursday morning, who could not confirm that a deal had been reach.Cantou did say that it is time for closure for everyone regarding the issue.Cantou also released a statement from Williams:"There are negotiations involving efforts on the part of a federal magistrate. We are trying to reach a resolution."Any agreement that is reached will be presented to the board July 9.
