Judge To Decide Bond For Man Investigated In Behrman Case

Clouse Accused Of Fighting In Brown County Jail

POSTED: 6:18 a.m. EST April 12, 2002

A Brown County judge will decide Friday if she'll increase the bail bond of a man who has been investigated in connection with a Bloomington missing person case.

Although Uriah Clouse has not been charged in connection with the Jill Behrman (pictured, left) disappearance, investigators want Judge Judith Stewart to keep Clouse, 26, in jail by upping the bail bond to $250,000.

Clouse is eligible for release on bail Saturday. His sentence for invasion of privacy will expire that day, but he will need to post bail to leave jail because he faces misdemeanor charges on accusations that he fought in the Brown County Jail.

Behrman, an Indiana University student, was last seen riding her bike near Bloomington in May 2000, and investigators suspect foul play.

Court documents show that Clouse's alibi for the day Behrman disappeared isn't solid, RTV6 reporter Sarah Fraidin said.
