INDIANAPOLIS -- Sunday night's Indianapolis Colts home game is expected to be the last regular season game played in the RCA Dome.Tailgaters shared memories and stories before the Colts' regular season finale. Most people had fond memories of the dome but are looking forward to the completion of Lucas Oil Stadium.
The dome will be torn apart with wrecking balls. Concrete will be crushed on-site before about 200,000 tons of debris are hauled away.Great plays and great times were had in the RCA Dome over the years, particularly in the last few years. Most fans are feeling a little nostalgic about the dome but think even better things are ahead for the team and its facilities."I've been to a few games at the dome and I'm excited to see the new stadium," said one fan. "As long as they get a win today, I really don't care what happens."There will be at least one postseason game played in the dome before the season is over.Construction on Lucas Oil Stadium is on time, according to the construction team, and is still set to be finished in mid-August 2008.
