Police: Missing Teen Found, Is OK

POSTED: 10:04 pm EST January 6, 2008
UPDATED: 10:53 pm EST January 6, 2008

A 17-year-old Bloomington girl who was reported missing after she failed to arrive at her grandmother's house in Linton was found safe at a Wal-Mart in Linton on Sunday evening, police said.

Police found Megan Boulanger with a 21-year-old man -- an acquaintance of hers -- at the store after people told authorities the two were there.

Linton police were detaining Boulanger and the man so that state police -- who were investigating Boulanger's three-day disappearance -- could question them, authorities said.

Boulanger told her parents Friday afternoon that she was going to drive from Bloomington to Linton to see her grandmother, but she never arrived, police said.

State police said they were told late Saturday afternoon that Boulanger was missing, and they alerted the news media Sunday evening.
