KOKOMO, Ind. -- One of two teenage women who was found shot in a car at an apartment complex parking lot early Saturday morning later died.

Police were called to the Meadow Lawn apartments, in the 1900 block of South Goyer Road, at about 3:25 a.m.

Officers found Abby Rethlake, 18, and Morgan Vetter, 19, both of Kokomo, with multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle in the apartment parking lot.

Rethlake was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said Vetter was listed in critical condition at Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo.

According to investigators, a third person found in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.

Police are looking for the shooter, described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 190 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and may have been driving an older-model black, two-door car.
