GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Drugs may have played a part in the disappearance of a 19-year-old Greenwood woman, court records show.
Brookley Louks (pictured, left) was reported missing June 24 and investigators said a friend of the family, Joe Nowicki, is a prime suspect.
Nowicki denies any involvement, but the records indicate he reportedly told a friend on the phone that he and Louks had gone to do a drug deal the day she vanished.
Nowicki also told the friend that he recognized someone who was a cop and that he was set up by Louks, the documents said.
Nowicki has not been charged in Louks' disappearance, but remains jailed on a weapons charge.
