Police Stumped By Teen's Slaying

Officers Ask Witnesses, 911 Callers To Come Forward

Police again put out a call Wednesday for information that will lead to an arrest in the shooting death of a Kokomo teen earlier this month.

Officers are specifically asking that the people who called 911 to report the shootings of Abby Rethlake, 18, and Morgan Vetter, 19, on April 5 to contact them.

Rethlake and Vetter were found with gunshot wounds in a car in a parking lot outside the Meadow Lawn apartments, in the 1900 block of South Goyer Road.

Rethlake died at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Vetter was recently released from a hospital.

Police said they think witnesses might have information that has not been shared with detectives.

The shooter was described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 190 pounds. Investigators think the gunman might have been driving an older-model black, two-door car.

Police asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
