Gusty Winds Accompany Morning Storms

Wind damage was reported in several counties in central and southern Indiana Sunday as thunderstorms moved through.

A strong low-pressure system sparked the storms, which quickly moved through during the morning hours from southwest to northeast.

Several trees and power lines were downed in Henry County, but no major structural damage was reported.

A garage was destroyed as a tree fell onto a house near Losantville, in Randolph County.

Trees were downed in several places in Delaware County. Wind damage was also reported in Lawrence County.

Strong winds of up to 50 mph were also reported in many central Indiana counties.

More than 38,000 customers of Duke Energy lost power at some point during the storms.

Temperatures will warm and skies will clear on Monday and Tuesday, but more thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday.
