ANDERSON, Ind. -- Officers have arrested a man suspected of seriously wounding two people in a shooting at an Anderson bar over the weekend, police said Monday.Marquis Andre Foard, 22, of Anderson, was booked into the city's jail Monday on a preliminary charge of attempted murder, police said.Police said they believe Foard fired a gun during an argument on a crowded dance floor at Club 765 about 3 a.m. Sunday, striking Stevaughn Fuller in the side of his head and Andrea Mitchell in the abdomen, police said.
Fuller, 20, of Anderson, and Mitchell, 24, of Muncie, were taken to Indianapolis' Methodist Hospital and recently were listed in serious condition, according to Anderson police Detective Joel Sandefur. The bullet that struck Fuller did not hit his brain, officials said. Sandefur said the shootings occurred after Fuller's sister and Foard began arguing.Police said whoever fired the gun ran out of the club's front door. Information on what led police to suspect Foard in the shooting wasn't available.
