Firefighter Faces Drunken Driving Charge

INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis firefighter drove his car while drunk and crashed into another car on Friday, police said.

Officers arrested Charles Andrew Egger after he struck a vehicle in the parking lot of a Taco Bell restaurant on West 86th Street, according to police.

Officers said they noticed an alcohol smell on Egger's breath and that he refused to take sobriety tests.

Eggers was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.
