INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was found fatally shot near his home on Indianapolis' northwest side early Friday morning.

Police said Jerald Gibson's body was found in the street at 21st and Harding streets just after 12:30 a.m.

Officers said Gibson, 24, had been shot in the back and that a car that had been hit with several bullets was found nearby.

Police said they had no information about any possible suspects.
