Car Strikes, Kills Pedestrian

Police: Driver Not At Fault

A man was killed early Friday morning when he stepped in front of a car on Indianapolis' southwest side, police said.

The victim, Daniels Nix, 41, was hit by a car that had a green light as the driver turned at Kentucky Avenue and High School Road.

It was raining at about midnight, when the accident occurred.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

There were no arrests.
