Police on Friday released two surveillance pictures in the robbery and shooting of a pregnant teller after which she lost her twins.

One of the pictures shows the robber on top of the teller's counter. The other (pictured, right) shows him robbing a second teller after the first had been shot, police said.

Huntington Bank offered a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

Katherin Shuffield, 30, was five months pregnant when she was shot April 22 at the bank branch in the 2000 block of North Post Road.

"It does create a certain amount of tension and wariness in our staff when those things go on," said Mike Newbold, president of Huntington Bank Indiana. "We just continue to try to encourage those folks to be on their guard."

As many as 400 officers have been involved in the investigation at some point, 6News' Jack Rinehart reported.

Indianapolis Metro police's robbery branch has yet to identify suspects or make arrests in the case, despite false hope spurred by early arrests that turned out to be unrelated to the robbery and shooting.

"We will not quit. The answers are out there. We will not stop," said IMPD Deputy Chief William Benjamin. "We have some relentless man-hunters out there, and we're going to continue to do this until we get the answers."

Shed James Jr.

On Wednesday, Shed James Jr. pleaded guilty to false informing. He spun a false tale of alleged involvement in the robbery and shooting, costing investigators three days of valuable time, police said.

James will serve six months in the Marion County Jail and was ordered to repay more than $16,000 to IMPD, Rinehart reported.

"The first 72 hours is so crucial to us, and we spent the first 72 hours being misled by this individual," said IMPD Detective Rob Challis.

Police renewed a call for anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
