An Amber Alert was issued Sunday afternoon as police look for a 14-month-old girl and her father.

The Vigo County Sheriff's Department said the child, Chelsea E. Netemyer, was abducted from a home in Vigo, about 12 miles south of Terre Haute, before 9 a.m. Sunday.

Police said they think James Netemyer Jr., 22, abducted the girl and that they believe he is armed with a .22 caliber pistol.

Chelsea Netemyer is 32 inches tall and weighs about 22 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a purple Blues Clues nightgown.

James Netemyer was driving a 2001 gold Chevrolet Silverado, with Indiana license plate 691801. The front of the truck has a plate that reads Premier Auto. The truck also has a back window sticker that says "In Memory of Leonard Farr."

Police asked anyone with information to call 888-58-AMBER.
