Feds: Man Had Thousands Of Child Porn Pictures

INDIANAPOLIS -- A Brown County man accused of having 40,000 child pornography images in picture and electronic format was charged Monday with possessing child pornography.

Federal prosecutors said Thomas Ely, 66, had computer disks and printed pictures in boxes stored on the property of an organization to which he belonged.

Information about that organization was not immediately released.

Ely faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
