A man was arrested on Indianapolis' east side Monday night following a traffic stop in which $500,000 worth of marijuana was found, police said.

Manuel Zuniga, 41, of Weslaco, Tex., was pulled over in a tractor-trailer for allegedly speeding just before 10 p.m. on Interstate 465 at Brookville Road.

Police said Zuniga told them he was hauling mangos, limes and papayas and acted nervously during the stop.

A K-9 sniffed the truck and indicated that drugs were inside. Police found that about 500 pounds of marijuana was between pallets of produce in the trailer.

Zuniga was arrested on felony charges of dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana.
