MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- Police divers will search the White River for a third straight day Tuesday in the investigation of a Greenwood teen's disappearance.
Diving began Sunday after a dog that is trained to locate human remains under water indicated a body was in a section of the river north of Martinsville. The section is about 7 miles from where Brookley Louks' car was found about a week after she disappeared in June. In July, Greenwood police named Joseph Nowicki, 53, a suspect in the case. He was being held on gun charges, but he is not charged in Louks' disapperance.Louks' mother said the 19-year-old used to mow Nowicki's lawn and do other chores for him.A search of the river by four divers was hampered Monday by difficult conditions including a swift current. A larger dive team was expected to search the river Tuesday.
