INDIANAPOLIS -- Police have identified two people found shot to death in an east side home Tuesday night.

Crystal Jenkins, 28, and Demetrius Allen, 22, were both shot several times, police said.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Hendricks Place just before 11 p.m. following an anonymous tip.

Officers searched the property and observed two bodies when they peered through the back door of the home.

"One of the officers looking in was able to see a body inside," said IMPD Sgt. Matt Mount. "As they then tried to open the door to check on it, they noticed that behind there, there was a second individual."

Investigators said it did not appear as though anyone forced their way into the home, because the back door was open.

Both victims had a history of narcotics-related arrests, police said.
