Community and police groups are stepping forward to raise money to help the family of wounded IMPD Officer Jason Fishburn.

Police Tuesday released a calendar of events, all of which will contribute to a fund for the Fishburn family.

The fund -- set up at the Professional Police Officers Credit Union -- was established shortly after the July 10 shooting that left Fishburn with a severe head injury.

List of Events:

On Thursday, 20 percent of all of the proceeds of items sold between 5 and 8 p.m. at the Pizza Hut on 6255 E. 82nd St. will go toward the fund.

The Tie Dye Grill at 1311 N. Shadeland Ave. will hold a fundraiser on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with food, clowns and music.

On Aug. 23, the St. Joseph's Council of the Knights of Columbus will sponsor a chili supper at their location at 4332 N. German Church Road beginning at 5 p.m.

'Prayers For Fish' T-Shirts

Also contributing money to the Fishburn fund, the Fraternal Order of Police is selling T-shirts with Fishburn's unit number and the phrase "Prayers for Fish" on them.

The blue shirts sell for $10 and come in sizes small through 4X, officials said. They're available at the FOP office at 1427 E. Washington St.

So far, the FOP has sold about 3,000, raising more than $20,000. Officials said they also plan to produce the shirts in pink and gray beginning Thursday.

Fishburn, who is recovering at Wishard Hospital, was shot while chasing a man now charged in three slayings. His family tells 6News they hope to move him to a rehabilitation facility for intensive therapy in another week.
