Indianapolis police are looking for two men suspected of helping three teenagers break into a west-side gun store early Friday.

A 13-year-old was behind the wheel of a stolen car that he, his twin brother and their 15-year-old friend rammed into the side of Don’s Guns near 38th Street and Lafayette Road just after 5 a.m. Friday, police said.

Saturday night, police asked for the public’s help locating Nicholas Martin, 20, and another man known only as Dontrell in connection with the break-in.

The three teens -- who have not been identified -- were arrested Friday night after a police chase and the search of a home on the city’s east side, police said.

Officers tried to pull over one of the twin brothers near 10th Street and German Church Road just after 9 p.m., but police said the teen drove off, eventually crashing into a fence near Colonywood and Summerwood drives in Cumberland.

Two IMPD officers suffered minor injuries during the chase.

The teen -- who police said was alone in the vehicle -- was taken into custody. Officers also recovered a firearm from the vehicle, Sgt. Paul Thompson said. It's not known if the gun had been stolen during the burglary.

A short time later, police executed a search warrant at 835 Belhaven Drive, about five blocks from where the pursuit began, Thompson said.

The 15-year-old and the other twin brother were detained at that residence. Officers also found items inside the home related to the burglary, police said.

Saturday night, police said several weapons taken in the burglary had been recovered.

Anyone with information about the burglary or about Martin’s whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
