Seven cars were heavily damaged by flames when a fire broke out Thursday evening in a long-term parking lot near Indianapolis International Airport, officials said.

The blaze started just before 6 p.m. in one of the long-term surface lots on South High School Road.

Skycam 6 flew over the scene as firefighters doused the flames.

Airport fire crews and Wayne Township firefighters were called in to battle the blaze. The flames were said to be under control within a few minutes.

No injuries were reported.

Fire officials said they weren't immediately sure what sparked the blaze.
