Worker Found Unconscious On Roof Of Downtown Building

INDIANAPOLIS -- Fire rescue crews were called to the Government Center South Wednesday afternoon after a man was found unconscious on the building's roof, officials said.

Kevin Kincaid, 49, told rescue crews he was doing work on the outside of the building when he went to climb down a ladder. He said the next thing he remembered was a co-worker telling him he had fallen, said IFD Capt. Gregg Harris.

Fire crews had prepared to rescue Kincaid using ropes, Harris said, but were able to attend to him on the roof and take him down through the building.

He was transported to Methodist Hospital in stable condition, Harris said.
