UPDATED: 10:17 pm EST December 3, 2008

Arson investigators are asking for the public's help in finding out who set fire to a church and adjoining day care last month.

A fire at Bell's Chapel Church of God at 42nd Street and Mitthoeffer Road caused more than $1 million worth of damage, destroying a day care that served 150 neighborhood children.

The fire was determined to be intentionally set, but police said they don't have any suspects.

Neighbors said they heard what sounded like an explosion and saw the church on fire. When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting from three sides of the building.

Anyone with information is asked to contact arson detectives at 317-327-TIPS or the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms at 1-888-ATF-FIRE.
