Delphi To Trim 150 More Jobs
Parts Maker Cites Economic Woes

KOKOMO, Ind. -- Another 150 jobs are being cut from Delphi's Kokomo operation, which manufactures components for General Motors.Delphi cut 600 white collar jobs, most in Kokomo, in August 2008 because of a 25 percent decline in vehicle demand.The latest round of layoffs take effect next Monday. The company will be left with 1,100 production employees and 2,200 salaried workers.
The Troy, Mich.-based company said cuts were considered carefully but were unavoidable in the current market climate.
