Indianapolis police said they've arrested one part of a two-man team thought to be responsible for holdups at several payday loan stores.

Michael Orr, 20, of Indianapolis was arrested on Thursday in connection with four robberies after a tip came into Crime Stoppers.

The latest robbery happened Monday, when one man went into the Cash Advance store in the 10000 block of Pendleton Pike and pointed a handgun at the clerk, police said.

Seconds later, a second man entered the store and then both men demanded money before leaving on foot.

About 45 minutes earlier, police said the same men went into a Payday Loan store in the 8200 block of East Washington Street. One of the men asked for an employment application before announcing a holdup, police said.

Police said Orr is thought to have been working with Eric Edwards, 23, who is being sought in the same four robberies and another armed robbery of an auto parts store on the east side.

He is also wanted in connection with a string of robberies at bus stops on Indianapolis east side Thursday morning, although police said Orr is not suspected in those holdups.
