NINEVEH, Ind. -- Police are trying to determine who sent a text message that contained a video of a 15-year-old girl engaging in a sex act that was secretly taped. The 15-year-old girl told police someone sent the message to students at her school, 6News' Renee Jameson reported. The girl's father, Doug Green, said he is outraged, but is letting authorities in Johnson County do their job.
"Any other dad in the world would probably be thinking what I'm thinking," Green said. "I'm going to let the detectives handle it. Justice will probably prevail. I hope they lock them all up."Green's daughter told police that she had consensual sex with a 14-year-old during a party at a trailer in Nineveh on Saturday. The police report indicated students approached her Monday at Indian Creek High School and told her that someone had taped the act through a hole in the door and the video was being distributed."A lot of my friends, they tried to send it to them, but they were like, 'I don't want this,'" said student Llie Ford. "This is … pathetic. Why would you do that?""What kind of person would ever do something like that? It's just mean," said student Kirstie Lakes. The girl said she was told that two boys, ages 17 and 15, taped the act. Johnson County detectives interviewed family members, witnesses and potential suspects at the Prince's Lakes Police Department Wednesday.Green said he's just trying to help his daughter through the ordeal."She's pretty quiet right now, not saying much -- probably ashamed, embarrassed and everything else," he said.Johnson County sheriff's officials said Wednesday night that they might reveal additional developments in the case on Thursday. The high school and superintendent's office did not respond to 6News' requests for an interview.
