MOORESVILLE, Ind. -- The polls are open Tuesday in two central Indiana communities that are considering large building projects.Voters in Mooresville and in the Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson school district, in Trafalgar, are weighing approval of the projects. The Trafalgar vote centers on projects that include three schools. The $26 million plan would build a new elementary school and renovate two other schools.
Mooresville voters are considering a $90 million bond issue that would include renovations to Mooresville High School and a middle school and the construction of a new middle school. Two residents filed suit asking for that referendum to be stopped, but a judge ruled that the vote would be held as planned. The polls are open until 6 p.m.
