Indiana State Police Trooper Rich Crawford said Kenneth Mirkovich, 55, of Greenfield, was driving his pickup truck westbound when another vehicle cut him off.Mirkovich swerved to avoid being struck and overcorrected, causing his truck to go off the right side of the road, Crawford said. The truck hit a concrete culvert and rolled several times. Police said Mirkovich was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from his truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Witnesses gave police descriptions of two possible vehicles involved in the wreck. One was a blue or green Ford Taurus and the other was a tan truck or SUV.Police asked anyone with information to contact them. One lane of I-70 westbound was shut down for several hours after the crash, causing a backup that extended as much as three miles.Copyright 2009 by TheIndyChannel.com All rights reserved.
