Worker Accused Of Offering To Share Ankle Bracelet Secrets

Police: Man Was Contract Employee With County

A contract worker with the Marion County Community Corrections Agency has been charged with official misconduct after he offered to show a woman how to outsmart a police-issued ankle bracelet, investigators said.

Brima Kemokai worked for Sentinel Security, which is contracted by the county to fashion suspects and offenders with ankle bracelets for electronic monitoring, 6News' Jack Rinehart reported.

A grand jury indicted Kemokai Wednesday evening.

Police said he told a woman, who was on home detention at the time, that he would teach her how to get around wearing the bracelet if she came over to his place.

She told police what had happened, who then had her wear a wire to record Kemokai's conversation.

A spokesperson for Sentinel Security said Kemokai had worked for the company for three months and would likely not have been able to help the woman get around wearing the bracelet.
