INDIANAPOLIS -- A contract worker with the Marion County Community Corrections Agency was charged Monday with raping a woman he was fitting for an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet.Brima Kemokai, 26, was indicted by a grand jury last week on a charge of official misconduct after he admitted to offering to show a woman how to outsmart her home-detention device if she would have dinner and go back to his place with him.While investigating that case, corrections officials told police that another woman had made a complaint against Kemokai three days earlier, 6News' Derrik Thomas reported.
That woman told police she had gone to get her ankle bracelet repaired on the evening of June 6, when the community corrections office at 147 E. Maryland St. was mostly empty.She said Kemokai made several sexual advances toward her, including telling her that she could have his baby, according to the probable cause affidavit.She told police that, under the pretense of trying to find a signal for her GPS equipment, Kemokai led her to an empty office, where he then raped her.Kemokai was charged Monday with rape, criminal confinement and two counts of official misconduct.He was employed by Sentinel Security, which is contracted by the county to fashion suspects and offenders with ankle bracelets for electronic monitoringA spokesman for the company said Kemokai had worked for the company for three months.
