Man, Dog Found Shot To Death After House Fire

Man Found Dead, Woman Airlifted With Burns

POSTED: 6:53 am EDT June 19, 2009

Firefighters responding to a rural Morgantown home found a man and his dog both shot to death inside, police said.

Robert Andrews, 44, was found inside the home at 7880 Whispering Pine Road in Jackson Township just after 3 a.m., Brown County sheriff's officials said.

A short time later, Andrew's estranged wife -- Dottie Andrews, 40 -- was found outside of the home. She was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital with severe burns.

The couple was in the process of divorcing, police said.

Investigators said no further information would be released until Monday.
