More than 200 Zionsville workers will lose their jobs when a medical device maker closes its doors.Hologic Inc. said Wednesday that it plans to close its operation near 96th Street and Zionsville Road over the next 18 months.Massachusetts-based Hologic took over the Zionsville operation in 2006 when it was called Suros Surgical. The site makes products used in breast biopsies.Company officials said all employees have been offered severance packages and some will be the opportunity to relocate.Hologic has a worldwide workforce of 5,000 and sales of $1.88 billion.
