Will one of the stars win the coveted trophy and be this year's Super Sage?

Giancarlo Esposito, actor -- Ravens, 21-7 -- I like the Ravens. They're a great team. I love Baltimore. The people there are wonderful, and I feel as if they are the team to beat.

Evan Handler, actor, "Californication" -- Ravens, 12-6 -- You know, I have a 5-year-old daughter and I've stopped following sports since her birth, so I don't know even know whose playing in the Super Bowl this year.

Orlando Jones, actor -- Ravens, 17-10 -- I'm pulling for Ray Lewis. We shot "The Replacements" in that stadium. I sort of have a kinship with the place. I think we shot "Liberty Heights" there as well.

Robert Knepper, actor – 49ers, 8-0 -- I don't want to get in trouble here. Those aren't two of my favorite teams.

Richard Schiff, actor -- 49ers, 38-34 -- I want the kid. What's his name? Copernicus? I'm an old-fashioned NFL guy from way back, and when it comes down to NFC vs. AFC, I'm always pulling for the NFC.

Richard Kind, actor -- Ravens, 24-21 -- I really want Baltimore because I don't know whether I want San Francisco. It's going to be close. I think they're two good teams.

Esther Lofgren, Olympic rower – 49ers, 28-21

Scott Adams, cartoonist, "Dilbert" -- 49ers, 49-nevermore -- As always, I make my picks based on the names of the teams. I predict that San Francisco will win by a score of 49 to nevermore. I’ll let you know where to send that trophy after I win.

Miss America, Mallory Hagan -- Ravens, 24-14

Roseanne Barr, comedian/actor -- 49ers, 31-27 -- For starters, let me say that football is too violent -- I'll probably be watching one of my grisly forensics shows during the SB. Having said that, here's my take: 

My heart's always with the underdog, but I know there's a reason why the Niners are slightly favored: For starters, that O-line is like a double-brick wall -- on wheels. That will be telling as the game wears on, since their young QB ...

... is like an elusive gazelle. By the fourth quarter, San Francisco will look like a first-down machine, and their formidable D will be more rested than Baltimore's. 

The Ravens are great, or they wouldn't be there, and they'll make awesome plays on both sides of the ball, and be in it till the end, like the inspired warriors that they are. 

But, the impartial hardcore NFL analyst "app" in my brain says: 49ers, 31, Ravens, 27. But, hey, I'm no expert; so don't bet the ranch!

Shane Battier, basketball, Miami Heat -- 49ers, 27-20 -- No one has figured out the read-option offense from the Pistol formation of the 49ers since Kaepernick has taken over, and I don't think the Ravens are fast enough defensively ...

... to do it in the Super Bowl. (Joe) Flacco has been great in this playoff run, but I think the offensive line of the Niners controls the game and the Ravens score a late touchdown to make the game closer than it appears.

Leroy Chiao, astronaut -- 49ers, 28-21 -- I followed the Niners back in the glory days of the '80s. It's time.

Josh Charles, actor, "The Good Wife" -- Ravens, 27-24 -- It will be a hard-hitting, extremely physical game that could go down to the wire. If the Ravens' offensive line gives Joe Flacco enough protection ...

... I believe he will continue to make big plays and lead my Ravens to a victory.

Mark Cuban, owner, Dallas Mavericks -- 49ers, 28-16 -- Because I hate the Ravens just like every kid from Pittsburgh does.

Jenna Elfman, actress, "1600 Penn" -- Ravens, 29-23 -- Probably the Ravens, which would be nice for Ray Lewis to go out that way. ... My 2-year old son made the prediction.

Josh Gad, actor, "1600 Penn" -- Ravens, 27-23 -- If you look at Marty McFly's Almanac from "Back to the Future 2," it's already written in stone.

Ted Giannoulas, San Diego chicken; 2011 Super Sage Award winner -- 49ers, 38-29 -- Sorry Ravens, my birdbrain says Niners win 38-29. (Colin) Kaepernick is a confounding difference maker.

His offensive line also has the brawn and brains to grind down Baltimore’s defense, which has faced more than 250 snaps in the playoffs.

Sheila Kelley, actress, "Gossip Girl" - Ravens, 27-21 - Being the femme creature that I am I watch football for one reason, to behold men in all their masculine goodness! So to choose between the 49ers of San Francisco and the Ravens of Baltimore ...

... is a tough one. Firstly, Ravens kind of freak me out. They’re just big messy birds that remind me of that Edgar Allan Poe poem, "The Raven." As for the 49ers, well, I wasn’t alive in 1949 and the number 49 doesn’t jump out at me ... 

... as being such a great number. So I’m going to have to go with the city my man was born in, Baltimore! Say hey for the blackbirds!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., environmental activist -- 49ers, 24-14 -- Because they are a slightly better team.

John Leguizamo, actor -- Ravens, 23-17 -- Oh, man. I’m going to go with the Ravens because, being a Giants fan, I can’t go with New England. Sorry, Tom Brady.

Mike Malinin, musician, Goo Goo Dolls (pictured, left) -- Ravens, 17-14 -- I’m hoping the Ravens are going to win.

Joe Mantegna, actor, "Criminal Minds;" 2010 Super Sage Award winner -- 49ers, 31-28 -- As a former winner of the Scripps Howard Poll, I'm looking for a repeat. 49ers beat the Ravens 31 to 28. 

I favor Jim Harbaugh because he's a former Chicago Bear, and that's as close as we Bear fans are going to get this year.

Branford Marsalis, musician -- Ravens, 27-14 -- My pick will be the Ravens. I think they have consistently played well on both sides of the ball; and Ray Lewis' retirement has them playing with even more energy. 

Joe Flacco is playing for his contract, making for even more focus. The 49ers are a great team, but I think this will be the best defense they have faced all year.

Ted McGinley, actor -- 49ers, 24-17 -- Ray Lewis is an interesting story. Can Ray go out on top? I don't think so. (Coach Jim) Harbaugh had the guts to make a quarterback change midseason. At the time it was very unpopular ...

... but looks like he knew what he was doing. (Colin) Kaepernick runs for at least one touchdown, and throws for two more. Ray Lewis goes into retirement having played in the 2013 Super Bowl, but not winning it. 

However I can guarantee one thing ... Coach Harbaugh will win the Super Bowl.

Bill Nye the Science Guy -- Ravens, 31-24 -- The Ravens are more explosive; they pass more. They hit a little harder than the 49ers; they will create a couple of big plays on both sides of the ball.

Bill O'Reilly, Fox News host -- 49ers, 24-17 -- 49ers’ offense will move the ball and control the clock. Ravens will turn the ball over twice.

Haley Joel Osment, actor; has picked 12 of the last 13 Super Bowl winners, missing only in 2008 -- 49ers, 28-24 -- This is looking like a classic Super Bowl in the making, and certainly one of the toughest picks I remember facing.

San Francisco's recovery from a 17-point deficit last week convinced me that they have the will to pull out a victory down the stretch.

Arnold Palmer, Hall of Fame golfer; 2003 Super Sage Award winner -- Ravens, 28-17 -- Baltimore has a pretty good defense.

Jodi Picoult, author -- 49ers, 35-28 -- Baltimore will be playing with a lot of emotion, but San Fran has more weapons!

Don Rickles, comedian -- Ravens, 28-14 -- Baltimore will win 28-14. The Ravens' energy seems to be peaking at the right time and the fact that it’s Ray Lewis’ farewell will give them great motivation. 

I also think that under this kind of pressure, Flacco will prove to be the stronger QB.

Pat Robertson, reverend; 2008 Super Sage Award winner -- 49ers, 35-27 -- My heart goes with the Ravens, but I believe the 49ers have too many star linemen for Baltimore to prevail. 

It should be a great game, however, with the two brothers competing against each other.

Martin Schulz, European Parliament president -- 49ers, 24-14 -- It's a view from Europe. I think it will be a great match where experience will count. The 49ers will drive home advantage in 4th quarter. 

Both teams had a brilliant season. I trust the game will be played in a fair spirit.

Sonja Sohn, actress, "The Wire" -- Ravens, 24-17 -- Do you even have to ask? The Ravens all the way, of course.

Scott Turow, author -- Ravens, 23-20 -- A) Ray Lewis will have his team ready to play. B) The team with the most former Cubs always loses -- only (49ers quarterback Colin) Kaepernick qualifies. C) It's always tough to beat your big brother.

Dick Vitale, ESPN -- Ravens, 24-21 -- I like their toughness. Kaepernick has got that ability to run, to throw. He’s going to be a phenom eventually. I love what they’re about. When it’s all said and done, I think it’s the 49ers 24, Ravens 21.

Adam West, actor, "Batman" -- 49ers, 24-21 -- This may be west coast wishful thinking but I think it'll finish 24 to 21 favor of the Niners. But they've gotta get down and dirtier this game. The Ravens will. 

San Francisco's QB is looking gruesomely good. Protect that pocket.

Jordyn Wieber, Olympic gymnast -- 49ers, 34-24 -- I predict that the San Francisco 49ers will win the Super Bowl this year because they have more passion and focus than the Baltimore Ravens.

Barry Williams, Greg Brady in "The Brady Bunch" -- 49ers, 31-17 -- The sentimental favorite is Baltimore because of retiring linebacker Ray Lewis. The odds are San Fran will win because of the legs and arm of QB Kaepernick.
