Police have found a handgun near the site where a 16-month-old boy was fatally shot while riding in a stroller, the prosecutor said.

Greene County Prosecutor Jarrod Holtsclaw told the Greene County Daily World that investigators found the handgun Wednesday morning in a wooded area near the site where Travis Bohannon was fatally shot Sunday night.

The boy was shot when his father was taking the child and his 4-year-old brother on a walk.

Holtsclaw says the Indiana State Police Lab in Indianapolis will test the gun for fingerprints and ballistics.

No arrests have been reported. Police say hunters frequent the area about 25 miles southeast of Terre Haute.

The boy's funeral is set for 11 a.m. Friday at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home in Terre Haute.
