Police: Man Lot Control Of Moped, Crashed In Parking Lot

DANVILLE, Ind. -- A Danville man died Sunday after he lost control of his moped, police said.Jason Maloy, 32, was riding southbound on County Road 300 East in Danville when he ran a stop sign at Main Street, hit a ditch and ended up in a nearby parking lot, said Hendricks County Sheriff's Department Lt. Jim Yetter.Maloy, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained massive head injuries and died at the scene, police said.Yetter said investigators don't know why Maloy didn't stop at the stop sign. Toxicology results are pending.
