Investigators Say Images Found On Man's Computer

CARMEL, Ind. -- A school employee was charged Tuesday with a federal count of sexual exploitation of children after an investigation that involved several law enforcement agencies.U.S. Attorney Tim Morrison said Andrew Jay McGrath, 30, of Carmel, produced images of a 5-year-old girl engaging in sexually explicit conduct on two occasions, in May and August of this year.McGrath was employed as an instructional assistant at Tri-County Education Center in Noblesville, said Carmel Clay Superintendent Dr. Barbara Underwood. He was fired on Tuesday.McGrath had been employed by the Hamilton-Boone-Madison Special Services Cooperative since January 2008, Underwood said.Morrison said there was no connection between images that were found on McGrath's computer and the school system.If convicted on both counts, McGrath could receive a maximum prison sentence of 60 years. McGrath is expected to be in court on Friday afternoon.
