A Morgan County man shocked his grandmother with a stun gun repeatedly during a night of drug use and drinking, police said.

Investigators said that Richard Dildine used a stun gun on Edna Dildine at least 100 times over a three-hour period last month in her Monrovia home where he had been staying.

Police said Dildine told officers that he had been drinking and taking pills that night.

Dildine was arrested on preliminary charges of battery, intimidation and criminal confinement. He was being held in the Morgan County jail Friday evening.

Police did not release the ages of Richard Dildine or Edna Dildine, but The Reporter-Times newspaper of Martinsville listed them as 38 and 80, respectively.
