Carmel Band Instructor Accused Of Having Sex With Student
Police: Man Had Sex With 14-Year-Old Girl

INDIANAPOLIS -- A Carmel band instructor was charged Tuesday with sexual misconduct after police said he admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old student.David Black, 22, an instructor with the Carmel High School band program, was charged in Marion County with two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, along with child solicitation, child seduction and dissemination of matter harmful to a minor.According to the probable cause affidavit, the now 15-year-old girl had been telling people that she was pregnant with Black's baby, prompting a high school staff member to call the instructor.Police said during that conversation Black admitted to having sex with the student when she was 14.Investigators said they later found text messages and pictures on Black's computer verifying the relationship.Black was being held Tuesday evening on $50,000 bond.
