Police Seek 3 Men In Slaying

Man Shot, Killed Outside Apartment Complex

Indianapolis police were looking for three men in connection with a fatal shooting on the city's northwest side Wednesday.

Andre Drake, 25, was confronted by the men and shot outside an apartment in the 6300 block of Mission Terrace just after 11 a.m., said Sgt. Paul Thompson.

He died at Wishard Memorial Hospital just before 1:30 p.m.

Investigators said the details of the confrontation are unclear but that they are looking for the three assailants.

The suspected shooter was described as black, between 18 and 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black, hooded zip-up sweatshirt with a gold shirt and black pants. He may have had braids in his hair, and is believed to be armed with a handgun.

The second man was described as black with a very dark complexion, between 18 and 25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 145 pounds. He was also wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and blue jean shorts.

The third man was described as black with a medium complexion, between 18 and 25 years old, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black, hooded jacket and dark blue jeans, and may have had braids in his hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
