Thousands of people again lined up to get free H1N1 flu vaccine at Lafayette Square Mall Thursday, marking the second straight day of long lines outside the building.

The lines moved relatively quickly, though, and by the time the clinic ended at 2 p.m., 3,030 people had been vaccinated, 6News' Julie Pursley reported.

The line began forming outside the mall at about 6 a.m.

"I have to go to work, so I wanted to get here in line so I could get to work right away," said one woman.

"It actually has gone fast. We've been here maybe a half-hour," said Casie Miller.

Once inside the building, people generally got their vaccinations within 40 minutes.

The clinics are being held for people in high-risk groups, including pregnant women, people between ages 6 months and 24 years and people who have chronic medical conditions.

"I just had a friend pass away at 27 years old (from H1N1) here in Indiana," said Danny Wood. "She was a good friend of mine. I just went to the funeral yesterday."

The Indiana State Department of Health said the state has received 660,000 doses of vaccine.
