Police: Girl Raped On Way To School Bus
15-Year-Old Says Man Grabbed Her From Behind

INDIANAPOLIS -- A 15-year-old girl was raped as she walked to her school bus stop early Friday, police said.The girl was walking in the 1200 block of North Tuxedo Street just after 6:30 a.m. when she said a man grabbed her from behind, said Sgt. Paul Thompson.The girl told police that the man pushed an object against her back and said he was armed before forcing her into an alley and sexually assaulting her.The man was described as black, between 20 and 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and had the lower part of his face concealed by a white mask.Thompson said at least one other person observed the man in the neighborhood prior to the attack.The girl was treated and released from Riley Hospital for Children.Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
