Two men were arrested in connection with one of two home invasion robberies that police think could be connected.

James Motley, 26, and Michael Davis, 18, face charges of criminal confinement and robbery.

Indianapolis police said the two men approached a group of people in the 100 block of Rockshire Road at about 9:30 p.m.

When the victims went into an apartment, investigators said three men with guns tried to force their way inside.

Police are trying to determine if Motley and Davis were involved in another home invasion robbery that resulted in injuries to three people.

That robbery happened just before 8 p.m. in the 400 block of North Polaris Drive.

A 73-year-old man was in critical condition late Sunday with injuries related to blunt force trauma, police said. A 68-year-old woman and 53-year-old man were also beaten.

"It just worries me because we have a 1-year-old baby in the house and my … daughter," said neighbor Tammy Bienz. "A break in over there three times, and now the house next to us, and we're right in the middle. My mother is on oxygen, and it worries me because I'm afraid they might break in here."

Police asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
