A former treasurer of a Cub Scout pack was arrested Monday on charges in connection with the disappearance of $3,000 from the pack, police said.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley said Alison Popejoy, 38, of Ambia, was cubmaster and treasurer of Pack 3165.

"Charges were filed last week as a result of a seven-month investigation," said ISP First Sgt. Tom McKee.

Popejoy was charged with theft, a Class D felony. She turned herself in on Monday and was released after posting bond.
