INDIANAPOLIS -- One of two men who burst into a home on Indianapolis' east side Friday morning in a robbery warmed a bottle for a crying child, a witness told police. The bizarre incident happened just after 8 a.m. in the 6100 block of East 21st Street, Indianapolis police Lt. Jeff Duhamell said.Morgan Adams told police that two men, one armed with a shotgun and the other with a handgun, pistol-whipped him and then used duct tape to tie him.Two other victims, ages 14 and 6 months, were unharmed, and the robbers allowed the older child to care for the baby. One of the men even heated a baby bottle in the microwave to give to the baby, police said.Adams suffered a laceration to his head in the incident."I was asleep when they came in and put a pistol to my head. They started ransacking through my … stuff," Adams said. "That's when I got hit in the back of the head a couple of times. I didn't really know what was going on."The robbers spent at least 25 minutes in the home, police said."I thought I was dead after they hit me in the back of the head," Morgan said. "It's like I'm still dreaming, or something. I don't even know if this is real, either."Morgan said he thought the robbers were looking for something specific, but said he wasn't sure what it was.The robbers fled with the victim's wallet, $150 and a television. Police are searching for the gunmen, who were described as black, in their early 20s and wearing dark clothing and red bandanas.
