An Indiana State Police motor carrier inspector found a large amount of suspected drug money during an inspection in eastern Indiana Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The inspector was patrolling on Interstate 70 in Wayne County when he stopped a tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes near mile marker 134, ISP Sgt. Wayne Flick said.

The inspector became suspicious of the driver during questioning and contacted ISP for a drug dog named Jax.

"Jax alerted on the driver's side of the tractor during his walk-around," Flick said.

Officers found some drugs and a duffel bag that contained "a large sum of money," Flick said.

The driver, whose name wasn't released, was arrested on a drug possession charge.

Police said the same inspector was involved in the seizure of $250,000 of drug money last month and that this was his second-largest bust.
